From oceanographer – Tripadvisor
I have stayed at the Jeu de Paume on and off since the early 1990’s and it always pleases. The rooms are not big – the facilities not extensive – it is a very friendly and comfortable hotel in – what in my opinion – is the nicest part of Paris. The Ile St.Louis is village Paris at its best – devoid of heavy traffic, nice shops and central location. The hotel is in a very old building and is brimming with character. Service is always good – room service consists of delicacies from the local delicatessen (there is not a restaurant in the hotel – but many very good ones in 5 mins range for all tastes and budgets).
It isn’t cheap but is it good value? I think so. I always come away with a smile on my face. Central Paris hotels are not cheap, I have stayed in better value and posher but this sits, neatly between the two.
