I loved the public areas of this hotel and most of the staff were quite friendly. The rooms were interesting – we had a duplex but it was quite small and the spiral staircase was just irritating after the novelty wore off (24 hours). The breakfast was expensive and shocking in quality and adequacy. This hotel is in a great location, is a beautiful restored building with wonderful public areas to read or have an expensive drink but the rooms are not worth the fairly high price. There is a very good restaurant if you come out of the hotel and turn left, cross the next road, carry on and it is about 50 metres along on the left. The excellent Berthillon ice cream is nearby too. The two/three restaurants opposite the hotel and generally poor quality and bad value.
Hotel du Jeu de Paume is situated in Ile Saint Louis, aris.
